In Uralsk, a man took another person's money that had remained in the cash acceptor of an ATM. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the regional police department, a woman deposited more than 600,000 tenge through an ATM in one of the shopping centers. However, due to a technical fault, the funds did not reach her account and remained in the ATM's cash acceptor. The woman, believing the money had been credited, left the ATM.

Some time later, a man who approached the ATM took the money left there. Police detained a 45-year-old resident of Uralsk. A criminal case is underway.

Police warned citizens not to leave an ATM when depositing money without making sure that the funds have reached the account and the operation has been fully completed.
