The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan is conducting additional expertise and revision of school literature before the start of the new academic year. The ministry reminded that the textbooks underwent an additional filter on the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Culture Aida Balaeva reported the identification of more than 700 defects of various nature. As a result, the approval of the list of books was suspended to eliminate shortcomings together with publishing houses.
The process of replacing literature was divided into several stages:
- 01First stage: joint work with publishers to correct identified errors.
- 02Second stage: re-examination of corrected versions.
- 03Third stage: delivery of textbooks to schools.
It is worth noting that exactly one and a half months remain until the start of the new academic year in Kazakhstan.
School teachers have already made their choice of educational materials directly through the electronic platform Etandau.gov.kz. Based on their requests, akimats formed applications and sent them to publishers.
At the same time, additional purchase of books for other grades is underway in the regions. This is due to the annual increase in the number of students in the country and the need for planned renewal of school library funds.
