During an Open Day at the country's oncology centers, 30 cases of cancer were detected. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Health, thanks to timely diagnosis, 30 cases of malignant neoplasms (including suspected oncological diseases) and 43 precancerous conditions were identified among the participants. Additionally, 287 other diseases requiring further monitoring, additional examination, or treatment were detected.
The ministry stated: "On this day, residents of the country received free consultations from oncourologists and specialized specialists, underwent preventive examinations and necessary diagnostic tests. According to the results of the campaign, 579 people received consultations from specialists."
A total of 386 diagnostic studies were conducted, including 14 low-dose computed tomography scans. The campaign aimed to raise public awareness about risk factors, preventive measures, and the importance of timely diagnosis.
