Kazakhstan's National Security Committee (KNB) detained 14 citizens of South Korea on suspicion of fraud. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the KNB, the suspects organized internet fraud in Kazakhstan. They deceived citizens and appropriated their money. The actions of the detainees are classified under Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan (fraud).

Currently, investigative measures are underway. It was established that the suspects were in Kazakhstan illegally. How long they were in Kazakhstan and how many people they deceived will be determined during the investigation.

The KNB urges citizens to be cautious and not to trust dubious offers on the internet. If you become a victim of fraud, you should immediately contact law enforcement agencies.

This incident is one of the major fraud cases involving foreign citizens in Kazakhstan. The investigation will also check the suspects' involvement in other crimes.
