A Kazakh citizen working at a construction site died in South Korea's capital, Seoul. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to information circulated by the country's media, the tragic incident occurred in the Socho district at around 9:45 a.m. The 30-year-old man was waiting for cleaning work on the 23rd floor of the construction site.
At that moment, part of the concrete ceiling collapsed onto him. The Kazakh citizen died at the scene.
South Korea's Ministry of Labor suspended the construction work. The cause of the incident is being determined.
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also confirmed the accident at the construction site in Seoul.
"In connection with this incident, the relevant authorities of the Republic of Korea have launched investigative work. Kazakh diplomats have established contact with the relatives of the deceased and are providing them with the necessary consular and legal assistance," said the ministry's official representative, Zhanbolat Usenov.
