South Korea has recalled its ambassador from Ukraine amid a scandal triggered by the disclosure of information about the transfer of prisoners. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"The government has decided to recall the ambassador from Ukraine," the South Korean Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

On September 23, Zelensky, in his speech at the UN General Assembly, announced the transfer of two North Korean citizens to Seoul.

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung stated that Seoul would take "additional measures" if Kyiv does not apologize for disclosing this information.
