On July 24-25, the 22nd Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum will be held in Omsk. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The main goal of the forum is to strengthen good-neighborly and trusting relations between Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as to deepen social, economic, cultural and humanitarian interaction between the regions. The forum will feature a number of events such as exhibitions, meetings and panel sessions on cooperation and partnership between the countries.
Participants will also be able to enjoy an extensive cultural program. The previous XXI Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum was held in November 2025 in Oral. Hundreds of delegates from both countries took part in the large-scale event. The forum with the participation of heads of state has been held since 2003.
The event will discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation aimed at improving the living standards of the population in the regions of both countries through the development of trade, economic, humanitarian, cultural and scientific ties between the regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
