Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, will make his first state visit to Kazakhstan. The visit is scheduled for October 5-6. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In Astana, issues of expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and Oman, including ties in trade and investment, will be discussed.
A large delegation led by Oman's foreign, finance and trade ministers, as well as the head of the country's investment authority, will also arrive with the Sultan of Oman. This was reported by Times of Oman.
Earlier, Tokayev said he supports the people of Oman at the current moment of escalation in the Middle East.
