In Ust-Kamenogorsk, the migration service discovered three fake temporary residence permits. A 28-year-old local woman is believed to be involved in their production, according to preliminary data. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The documents were intended for three citizens of a neighboring country aged 25, 33, and 37. The police did not specify which country.
During the check, it was found that the permits had not undergone the established processing procedure and were absent from official records.
“A check against official records confirmed that the migration service did not issue these documents,” the statement said.
A pre-trial investigation is underway. The woman has been placed under a written undertaking not to leave.
Police reminded that documents for legal stay in Kazakhstan must be processed in accordance with the established procedure. The use of fake permits may entail liability.
