A police officer was killed by a person in Ust-Kamenogorsk. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The incident occurred on the night of October 4 in one of the cafes. According to the police department of the East Kazakhstan region, one of the visitors to the cafe inflicted bodily injuries on a 40-year-old local resident who had called for order. He died from the injuries sustained.
According to police, another citizen was also injured as a result of the suspect's actions. The suspect was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The deceased citizen was a police officer. According to police, he was not on duty at the time of the incident. Investigative measures are ongoing.
