According to the victim, near one of the stores, an unknown man snatched a gold necklace from her neck and fled the scene. The woman stayed at the scene and waited for police officers.
Officers of the Ulba police department immediately began searching for the suspect. CCTV cameras determined his direction of movement. Soon, police spotted the suspect in one of the courtyards near the scene.
Thanks to prompt actions, the 37-year-old man was detained "in hot pursuit", the message reads.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact. Currently, the circumstances of the incident are being established.
