In Ust-Kamenogorsk, 25,000 consumers were left without power due to heavy rain and strong wind. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the city administration, due to adverse weather conditions, 15 trees fell and streets were flooded. Some areas were left without electricity.
"As of 5:00 PM on August 5, 20.5 mm of precipitation fell on the territory of Ust-Kamenogorsk, with strong wind and thunderstorm. As a result, an accident occurred in the city's power supply system, some sections of roads were flooded, and trees fell," the message said.
Currently, the city's municipal and emergency services are operating in an enhanced mode.
