An international scientific-practical conference "High Altai – ancestral home of Turks" is being held in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
As explained at the event by Nikolai Ovsienko, Deputy Head of the Directorate of the Administration of the President of Russia and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Military-Historical Society, the history of the conference began three years ago in the Altai Mountains.
The main goal of the organizers was to give scientists, educators and journalists the opportunity to meet and discuss common topics.
"We are united by a common history, the common cradle of Turkic civilization. During the first two conferences, we realized how important this platform is. Since scientists work together, each country has its own scientific school, its own priorities, its own understanding of history and ancient artifacts. But when they come together, they compare their approaches and discuss common opinions that may be useful for discussion," Ovsienko said.
The speaker noted that the third conference in Kazakhstan will give a second breath to these goals.
