Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the AI age demands new social norms and encouraged people to embrace the technology's potential instead of fearing it. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.

In an interview on June 16, 2026, in Sherman, Texas, before a groundbreaking ceremony for an expansion of Coherent's manufacturing facility, Huang expressed optimism about AI's ability to rapidly change society, accelerate economic growth, and lead to scientific breakthroughs. However, he felt obligated to respond to critics who warn of job losses and threats to humanity.

"We need to create new social norms," Huang said. "I would advocate that everybody use AI. Just go engage it."

AI has become a political flashpoint, with objections to data center plans and fears that rapid adoption could spur layoffs. Huang's close relationship with President Donald Trump has drawn criticism from Democrats, but he argues that AI computing power is key to adding factory jobs.

Huang highlighted AI's ability to build websites, analyze complex documents, guide advanced research, and even plan kitchen remodeling.
