A court has resolved the dispute between former Nur-Mukasan singer Mukasan Shakhzadayev and current performer Galymzhan Suleimen. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Azamat Yeserkenov, administrator of Mukasan Shakhzadayev, who was accused of assaulting Galymzhan Suleimen, was fined by the court. He was ordered to pay 20 monthly calculation indices, amounting to 78,640 tenge.
However, the lawyer for the victim Galymzhan Suleimen asked the judge: "We requested to return the criminal case to the prosecutor and to charge under Article 107 of the Criminal Code. Why was our request not granted? Why was the case not returned to the prosecutor?"
Judge Beinegul Kaisina, who handled the case, replied: "The court, having assessed the testimonies of the defendant, witnesses, and the victim, as well as the evidence in the criminal case materials, concluded that there are no grounds to return the case to the prosecutor. The court only issues a decision within the scope of the charges brought. The court is not a prosecuting body and cannot go beyond the charges."
It is worth noting that in November last year, a conflict broke out between the artists, during which one assaulted the other. At the previous court session, the victim Galymzhan Suleimen requested to hold both Azamat Yeserkenov and Mukasan Shakhzadayev accountable.
