Norway plans to allocate about $9 billion to Ukraine in 2027, including funds for military purposes. This was announced by the royal government. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
A statement on the Norwegian government's website reads: "The government proposes to parliament to continue providing assistance to Ukraine in 2027 in the amount of 85 billion Norwegian kroner ($9.2 billion – ed.)". It specifies that this assistance will be directed to civilian and military purposes.
Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine hinder conflict resolution, directly involve NATO countries in the conflict, and are "playing with fire". Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that any cargo with weapons for Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia.
