The hybrid Nissan Qashqai with e-POWER system has set a Guinness World Record by driving almost two thousand kilometers on Colombian roads without refueling or external charging. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The test took place from July 14 to 17 along a route from Bogota to the Caribbean coast. Over three days, the crossover covered 1,980 km on a single tank of fuel without connecting to a charging station.
The achievement was officially registered by Guinness World Records representatives, who monitored the route and confirmed the result after verification.
The e-POWER system differs from conventional hybrids. Here, the wheels are always driven by an electric motor, while the gasoline engine is not directly connected to them and acts as a generator. Thanks to this scheme, the car retains the dynamics of an electric vehicle but does not require external charging.
This is not the first such test of the technology. Nissan previously conducted long-distance runs in the UK and Tasmania, and now the system has brought the company an official Guinness record.
In Kazakhstan, the new-generation Qashqai has been on sale since the beginning of 2026. The crossover is equipped with a 150-horsepower gasoline engine, is available with front or all-wheel drive, and is supplied from the UK.
By the end of the year, the official distributor also promises a Chinese-made Qashqai Glory version with a two-liter engine producing 149 hp, an X-Tronic CVT, and front-wheel drive.
