At least 380 tourists, including 291 foreigners, are missing after devastating floods in Nepal. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the latest data, the death toll has reached 95. A powerful torrent of water from the mountainous region near the Chinese border hit the Bhotekoshi River, causing significant damage to infrastructure in Rasuwa district.
Rescue operations are currently underway. Nepal's Minister of Infrastructure Sunil Lamsal said the damage from the floods is estimated at about 200 billion Nepalese rupees ($1.3 billion).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported that no citizens of Kazakhstan are among the victims or missing.
