Search operations for Kazakhstan citizens missing in Nepal are ongoing. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhanbolat Usenov. Earlier, information emerged that after a devastating flood on the border of Nepal and China, two citizens of Kazakhstan went missing. Later, it was confirmed that another Kazakh citizen had traveled there as a tourist.
"In the disaster area on the border of China and Nepal, three of our female citizens went missing. Unfortunately, at present there is no news about them. Our diplomats are working with local authorities, and search efforts continue. We have established contact with their families," Usenov said at today's briefing.
The ministry representative also conveyed that there is complete information regarding all three. However, he did not disclose their personal data or age. Because the main goal is to find them.
Earlier, it was reported that a flood occurred in Nepal, and about 400 tourists went missing.
