A fraudulent message about the need to extend marriage is spreading on social media. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to official representative of the Ministry of Justice Talgat Uali, in accordance with the marriage and family legislation of Kazakhstan, marriage is registered once and has no established validity period. Therefore, re-registration of marriage or extension of its term is not required.
"Marriage can be dissolved at the request of one or both spouses. Also, marriage is terminated in other cases provided by law. Marriage is dissolved only through the registering authority or in court," explained Talgat Uali.
In this regard, the Ministry of Justice urges citizens not to trust such messages, not to follow links in them, and not to provide their personal data to strangers.
