Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs will be held at Madison Square Garden. Ticket prices have reached record levels. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.

The Knicks are in the finals for the first time since 1999 and lead the series 2-0. The cheapest upper-deck seats for their first home game this week are going for over $6,000 on secondary markets like StubHub, SeatGeek, and VividSeats, exceeding the average rent in New York City. Courtside seats cost more than $75,000.

Guard Jose Alvarado, a New York native, is planning a viewing party in Brooklyn and noted that his high school in Queens is also hosting one. "I don't care who you are, that's a lot of money for a ticket," he said. "People that could afford it, we're grateful with them coming."

Knicks head coach Mike Brown expressed satisfaction with the team's preparation. "Our fans are incredible, they give us energy," he said. Spurs star Victor Wembanyama said he is ready for the upcoming game. "We feel the pressure, but it motivates us," he said.

The game tips off at 8:30 p.m. ET on June 8. It will be the Knicks' first home final game since 1999.
