President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev removed from Kazakhstan's foreign policy concept for 2020-2030 the right of Nursultan Nazarbayev to lifelong address to the people of Kazakhstan with initiatives on foreign policy issues. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This change was made to adapt the country's foreign policy to new conditions. The new edition of the concept excludes provisions regarding Nazarbayev's special role. This step is aimed at further development of the country's foreign policy.
