The main topics of the NATO summit in Ankara will be threats and challenges for the Euro-Atlantic region, Ukraine, and threats and challenges to the alliance's southern flank. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Burhanettin Duran, head of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency, wrote on social media X: "Leaders will exchange views at a strategic level on the threats, risks and challenges facing the Euro-Atlantic region. The situation in Ukraine and recent developments on the alliance's southern flank will be discussed."
Alliance participants plan to assess steps taken under the decision to increase defense investments. The NATO summit will be held in Ankara on July 7-8. As part of preparations, a meeting of representatives of alliance countries took place in Brussels on Tuesday, where they discussed the draft final declaration of the upcoming summit.
