At the Baikonur Cosmodrome, NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman held negotiations with Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States, with a special focus on implementing joint projects in space science, astrophysics, satellite technologies, and remote sensing of the Earth.

According to the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, participants considered opportunities to expand interaction between scientific organizations and universities of the two countries, including programs for training highly qualified specialists and developing commercial cooperation in the space sector.

Zhaslan Madiyev emphasized the strategic importance of partnership with NASA for the national scientific and technological potential. "Kazakhstan is interested in establishing long-term practical interaction with NASA aimed at concrete results, that is, implementing joint research projects, introducing innovative technologies, and training a new generation of specialists," Madiyev said.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for further dialogue and instructed relevant teams to develop a practical partnership plan for cooperation.

Also, NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, together with Roscosmos head Dmitry Bakanov, participated in a meeting of the state commission for approving the crew of Soyuz MS-29. On July 14, the Soyuz-2.1a rocket carrying the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft will be launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. On board are two Russian and one American citizen. Isaacman is expected to attend the launch of the spacecraft heading to the ISS.
