A man struck by lightning while walking down a street in Staten Island, United States, has described the experience as 'horrific'. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing BBC News.
Thomas Fahmy said he had been walking to the dentist on 27 August when he saw 'a bright white flash' and instantly fell to the ground. He told CBS News, BBC News's US partner: 'I've never felt these sensations ever in my life'.
Fahmy was sent to hospital with the help of a local resident who called 911, and did not sustain serious injuries.
