Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the situation in the fuel market. Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov said the situation in the fuel market is stable. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"Kazakhstan's oil refineries are operating as planned. The total reserves of gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation fuel in Kazakhstan meet the needs of the domestic market. The Ministry of Energy keeps the production and supply of fuel under control," he said.

According to Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov, since the beginning of the year, 593 attempts to export petroleum products totaling more than 40,000 liters have been stopped at vehicle checkpoints. Enhanced control is being carried out in border areas under the roadmap to prevent illegal export of petroleum products. The staff has been increased to expedite in-depth inspections.

Vice Minister of Finance Yerzhan Birzhanov reported on the work of mobile groups. Patrols are carried out around the clock; under the risk management system, tank trucks and fuel carriers are checked on border highways. "In the last two days, 61 attempts to export more than 3 tons of fuel in additional tanks and canisters were stopped at checkpoints. Also, 18 specialized vehicles for transporting fuel were inspected. Among them, samples were taken from one vehicle carrying 34 tons of petroleum products for examination," he said.

Currently, state revenue authorities are analyzing the activities of 62 gas stations and 22 mini-refineries whose service volumes have abnormally increased.
