A woman who twice burgled her colleague's home in the Zhambyl region has been sentenced. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The convicted woman works as a teacher at a school. Last year, when her brother came and asked for the house key, the colleague overheard where the key was kept. A few days later, the teacher left work early, found the key, and illegally entered the colleague's home. That day she stole a gold pendant and a ring, and a few days later, using the same method, she stole a gold necklace and a bracelet.
The defendant's guilt was fully proven. The prosecutor requested 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment. The victim stated that the material damage was fully compensated. Article 188, Part 3 of the Criminal Code (theft committed repeatedly) provides for punishment from 2 to 7 years of restriction or imprisonment. The court sentenced the woman to 3 years of imprisonment. However, the execution of the sentence was postponed for 3 years due to the presence of her child under 14 years of age. The verdict has entered into legal force.
