The Ministry of National Economy has put a draft law on amendments to the Tax Code up for public discussion. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the draft law, information on payments and transfers to unregistered foreign companies providing services through internet platforms in Kazakhstan must be submitted to tax authorities on a quarterly basis.
In particular, information will be provided on unregistered foreign companies that received more than 100 payments or transfers during one calendar quarter, and whose total amount exceeds 1,000 monthly calculation indices established by the law on the republican budget in force on January 1 of the corresponding financial year.
"They are obliged to submit information on the final amounts of payments and transfers made in favor of unregistered foreign companies operating through an internet platform in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to which more than one hundred payments and transfers were made during a calendar quarter and whose total amount exceeds (...) the thousand-fold size of the monthly calculation index," the draft law states.
In addition, individual entrepreneurs or persons engaged in private practice must provide information on the total amount of payments received to their current account through a device for accepting mobile payments.
All information must be sent no later than the 15th day of the second month following the reporting quarter.
