Finance Minister Madi Takiev announced the results of a mobile transfer check. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Based on information provided by banks, 115,000 people received over 1,020,000 tenge for three consecutive months with 100 transfers. The total amount of transfers exceeds 1 trillion tenge. The majority of this money – 670 billion tenge – was transferred by individuals.

Among those who received money via mobile transfers, there are also 7,800 non-residents. “We have strengthened control over them. We ask where the money came from and where it was sent. There are also individual entrepreneurs who made transfers worth 200 billion tenge. This was sent not for punishment, but for explanation,” Takiev said in an interview with journalists.

According to the minister, among those under scrutiny there are many taxi drivers and couriers. They came to the tax authorities and said they did not know that mobile transfers were being monitored.
