More than a million women in Kazakhstan received care at women's clinics opened at primary health care organizations and perinatal centers. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Where the clinics operate
According to the Ministry of Health, the clinics operate on the basis of 425 primary health care organizations and 24 regional perinatal centers. Separate reception desks, procedure rooms and family planning centers are provided for patients.
Rise in early registration
The share of pregnant women who registered before the 10th week grew by 18% and reached 71%.
"One-day clinics"
"One-day clinics" for the early detection of congenital fetal malformations also operate at perinatal centers in all regions. Under guaranteed medical care, pregnant women can undergo five types of examinations and receive results the next day.
In 2026, more than 100,000 women underwent examinations and received over 500,000 services.
Detection of malformations and infant mortality
According to the Ministry of Health, the detection of fetal malformations rose by 13%, while the infant mortality rate fell by 15%. The ministry did not specify the period against which these indicators are compared.
"Analar saulygy" program
Since 2025, the "Analar saulygy" program has been in effect in the country: it provides for 12 types of free examinations in preparation for pregnancy. More than 300,000 births are attended annually in Kazakhstan.

Earlier, "Kursiv" wrote that in the first quarter of 2026, maternal mortality in Kazakhstan fell by 43% compared with the same period in 2025 — from 12 to 6.8 cases per 100,000 live births. According to the Ministry of Health, infant mortality also declined over this period — from 5.92 to 5.56 cases per thousand newborns.
