Currently, there is no threat of a shortage of fuel and lubricants in the country, the Ministry of Energy said in a comment on the market situation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The ministry reported that sufficient reserves of petroleum products have been formed on the domestic market to ensure stable and uninterrupted supply to consumers during the summer and tourist season. Total reserves exceed 1.1 million tons. This includes sufficient stocks of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline, as well as diesel fuel.
"These reserves are stored on an ongoing basis and are constantly replenished through current production at refineries," the statement said.
Previously introduced state regulation measures remain in force. In particular, a temporary restriction on the export of certain types of petroleum products by road and rail has been imposed until November 21 of this year. Additionally, a restriction has been placed on vehicles crossing the state border more than once per day.
"Since June 20, control at checkpoints has been strengthened. Units of the National Security Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Revenue Committee, and the Financial Monitoring Agency have been involved in this work," the ministry said.
The situation within the country is also under constant monitoring by the government and authorized state bodies. "Currently, they are conducting enhanced targeted inspections, monitoring fuel reserves at gas stations, preventing illegal export of fuel and lubricants, and promptly responding to possible unjustified actions by product sellers," the ministry added.
The ministry also warned that retail prices for motor fuel in Kazakhstan are not regulated by the state and are formed solely on market principles.
