The Ministry of Culture and Information has clarified the procedure for using the State Flag. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Earlier, the government amended the rules for using state symbols. Now the flag can be hung on buildings, including balconies, at a 45-degree angle.

"This norm has been in the legislation since 2020, but the procedure for placing it on a balcony had not been clearly defined until now," ministry specialists explained.

In private residential houses, the flag must be installed at a height of at least three meters from the ground. Additionally, the requirement to illuminate the flag at night has been removed.

If it is not possible to place the flag on the building's facade, it can be installed on a flagpole in the yard. Also, provided the requirements of the law on state symbols are met, the State Flag may be used inside a vehicle.

"It is prohibited to use the State Flag for advertising purposes, as well as to place it on clothing, bedding, curtains, tablecloths, rugs, and other household items. This requirement is aimed at preventing inappropriate use of the state symbol's image in everyday life and maintaining respect for it," the official statement said.

Previously, only the State Emblem could be placed on sportswear, but now the State Flag can also be applied to it. This requirement applies to sportswear and other special types of clothing.
