The Ministry of Education has announced a plan to update school textbooks. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Earlier, during an inspection, more than 700 comments and errors were identified in school textbooks. Currently, the ministry is working to eliminate the identified shortcomings. As a result, additional time will be needed to update the textbooks.
The textbook update plan: - By August 30, 2026, textbooks for 3rd grade in the subjects "Kazakh Language", "Russian Language", "Mathematics", "World Around Us", "Literary Reading", "Music", as well as for 7th grade in "World History" will be updated; - By January 1, 2027, textbooks for 4th and 9th grades will be updated; - By April 1, 2027, textbooks for 8th grade will be updated.
Teachers selected the textbooks through the electronic platform Etandau.gov.kz. Additionally, considering the increase in the number of students in regions and the need to update the library fund, textbooks for other grades will be purchased additionally.
