Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliev said that trade volume increased in all regions over the first six months of this year. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

However, the highest growth was recorded in four regions: - Pavlodar region (125.3%); - North Kazakhstan region (121.8%); - Turkistan region (121.4%); - Shymkent (121.8%).

More than 70% of Kazakhstan's total trade turnover is accounted for by the cities of Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, as well as Atyrau and Karaganda regions.

Currently, control over unproductive intermediaries has been strengthened, and a system for phased tracking of goods movement has been introduced.

"The first results of the measures taken are already visible. According to the results of six months, the real volume index of retail trade in food products increased by 9.5%, and the sales volume amounted to 3.7 trillion tenge," said Shakkaliev.
