Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek addressed young Kazakhs and their parents. He wished luck to those who managed to get an educational grant and supported those who didn't succeed this year. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In his message published on Telegram, the minister congratulated future students on the beginning of a new stage of life and wished those whose names did not appear among the state grant holders the most important thing — not to stop.
"Sometimes the path to a dream turns out to be a little longer than we planned. But this does not mean at all that it leads in the wrong direction," he wrote.
And the main thing he highlighted: "Do not let one list determine the scale of your dream."
The minister reminded parents that there is another opportunity that not everyone knows about — after enrollment, part of the state grants is released annually. The head of the department also stressed that students who start studying on a paid basis and show high academic results can later apply for vacant grants.
"Therefore, my advice to parents today is very simple. If your child received a grant, rejoice with him. Let him feel that his work is truly appreciated. If he didn't get it, today he may need your support even more. Do not compare him with others. Do not turn one competition into a sentence. Instead, open the list of universities together, call admissions committees, learn about rector's, regional and corporate grants. Look for the next route," Nurbek addressed parents.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that the holders of state grants for studying at Kazakh universities became known. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan published a list of holders of state educational grants for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants can check the results of the competition on the official resources of the department.
