Kazakhstani gymnast Milad Karimi became vice-champion of the 2026 Asian Games in floor exercise. In the final he scored 14.600 points and lost to the winner by just 0.066 points. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Gold was won by the 2024 Olympic champion in this discipline, Filipino Carlos Yulo, with a result of 14.666 points. Bronze went to Japanese gymnast Sema Tsukiyama, who scored 14.566 points.

On the eve of the competition, the Kazakhstani men's team stopped one step away from the podium in the team all-around. Karimi, Nariman Kurbanov, Ilyas Azizov, Dmitry Patanin and Nurtan Idrisov took fourth place, losing to Chinese Taipei by 2.3 points.
