In Ann Arbor, Michigan, No. 16 Michigan defeated Western Michigan 13-12 in an NCAA football game. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.
Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood watched his pass sail out of bounds and thought the game was over.
"I definitely thought the game was over because there were zeroes on the clock," he said.
Western Michigan thought so too. So did many watching. Given a second chance by a disputed replay decision, Underwood and the Wolverines took advantage. JJ Buchanan pulled in Underwood's 47-yard pass for a game-ending touchdown, giving Michigan the win.
The game was the first for head coach Kyle Whittingham. It took place on September 5, 2026.
