Kazakhstan has approved new rules for using the state flag. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the new rules, it is now allowed to hang the state flag on balconies. Previously, such actions were prohibited. However, a number of requirements must be observed when using the flag.

The color, size, and placement of the flag must comply with established standards. It is forbidden to use the flag in a dirty, torn, or worn condition. It is also forbidden to hang the flag together with other objects or use it for advertising purposes.

Violation of the rules entails administrative liability. The fine can range from 10 to 50 monthly calculation indices (MCI).

The new rules were adopted on July 7, 2026, and come into force from the date of official publication.
