Autumn holidays have begun in schools across Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Education reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"The autumn holidays will last seven days, from October 26 to November 1, 2026, inclusive. Studies will resume on November 2, 2026," the statement said.
The ministry noted that during the autumn holidays children can spend time with their families, read books, and engage in sports and creative activities.
"Schools can offer events aimed at meaningful leisure for children. The interests of children and family plans must be taken into account," experts say.
There are about 2,900 additional education organizations operating in Kazakhstan. Art and music schools, student palaces, sports schools, and creative centers enable children to develop their abilities according to their interests.
"If events are organized, persons responsible for their conduct and the safety of children are designated in advance. Children's participation is agreed upon with parents. During extracurricular events, children must be accompanied by adults responsible for their safety," the ministry's statement said.
The Ministry of Education urged parents to explain to children the importance of following safety rules at home, on the street, and on the internet, and to call on them to be vigilant.
