Kazakhstan is moving school medical checkups to digital format. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Health, in 2026 the procedure for organizing and conducting preventive examinations of children was revised with priority given to early detection of diseases.
The ministry's statement reads: "For the first time, during the examination of all children, it is planned to widely use ECG machines, phonendoscopes, pulse oximeters, otoscopes, intraoral cameras, and other digital diagnostic devices using artificial intelligence technologies."
The Digital Registry of Children, established in 2025, allows monitoring of 54 indicators, including preventive examinations, identification of risk factors, formation of medical routes, referrals to specialists, and dynamic observation.
Integration of healthcare information systems with the National Education Database has also been completed. This allows obtaining up-to-date information about students' educational institutions and registration, preventive examinations, vaccination, and health groups.
