Kazakhstan has launched the 'Attention, Children!' campaign. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The main goal of the campaign is to protect children from road dangers and create a safe environment. Before the start of the school year, control near schools and educational institutions is being strengthened.
The police's task is to ensure children's safety on the roads. The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges drivers not to exceed speed, strictly follow traffic rules, and be as careful as possible behind the wheel. It is especially important to always remember that children may unexpectedly run onto the road.
Currently, the condition of pedestrian crossings, road signs, and markings near schools is being checked. The safety of school buses and child transportation is also under control.
As a result of the inspection, 548 orders were issued regarding the road infrastructure of educational institutions. The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on parents to remind children of safety rules every day. It is important to teach children to follow safety requirements at school, on the street, in public transport, and on the internet, the ministry says.
