This year, citizens have submitted nearly 3,000 complaints to the primary health care service. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Acting Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova said at a meeting on improving the quality of medical services that in the first half of 2026, citizens applied to primary health care organizations 62 million times, and 2,925 complaints were received.

Main reasons for complaints

According to Alnazarova, the majority of complaints concerned access to specialized doctors, scheduling appointments and referring patients to appropriate specialists, compliance with medical ethics, timely dispensary observation, and drug provision.

Growth by region

The highest increase in the number of complaints was recorded in the Mangystau region, rising 4.3 times. In the East Kazakhstan region, this figure increased 2.6 times, in the Karaganda region 2.3 times, in the Akmola region 2.1 times, and in Astana it doubled.

Measures taken

Following the meeting, it was instructed to create special headquarters in the regions with the participation of experienced doctors, deputies of maslikhats, and members of public councils. They should comprehensively study the work of state and private clinics and hospitals, identify the causes of complaints, and make specific proposals for medical organizations with consistently low quality of services.

Special attention was instructed to be paid to the situation in the Mangystau, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, and Akmola regions, as well as in the cities of Astana and Almaty. For each of these regions, a separate analysis of the causes of low indicators must be conducted.
