Parking prices in Medeu have been reduced, now you can park for free for 15 minutes. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
With the intervention of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition, prices for paid parking in Medeu have changed. Previously, the operator introduced a single tariff of 500 tenge per hour, and there was no possibility to temporarily park for free.
According to agency specialists, citizens arriving by car at the high-mountain resorts Medeu and Shymbulak paid 6 thousand tenge for 12 hours of parking and 12 thousand tenge for 24 hours. In addition, inconvenience was caused by the lack of a free waiting period for those waiting for their car during descent, as well as the lack of alternative parking lots.
Thus, "Chimbulak Development" LLP hindered public access to objects related to public and natural-cultural values. As a result of the inspection, the company changed the parking fee. Currently, there is 15 minutes of free parking time, and the maximum daily parking cost does not exceed 4,500 tenge.
