A new appointment has been announced at Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations. Major General Margulan Amanbayev has been appointed head of the ministry's staff by order of the Minister of Emergency Situations. He previously headed the Emergency Situations Department of the Karaganda Region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

New appointment

By order of the Minister of Emergency Situations, Margulan Amanbayev has been appointed head of the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. This is the latest personnel change within the ministry's structure.

Prior to this appointment, Amanbayev headed the Emergency Situations Department of the Karaganda Region. He was appointed to that position in September 2024.

Biography and education

Margulan Amanbayev is 53 years old. He was born in the Zhanaarka District of the Ulytau Region. He graduated from the Zhezkazgan Mining and Technology Institute and later from the Kokshetau Technical Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

He has been awarded the Order of "Aibyn" II degree.

Career

Amanbayev began his service in civil protection agencies in 2000 as an engineer of Fire Station No. 8 of the State Fire Service of Astana. He subsequently held various leadership positions in the capital's garrison.

In 2020, Amanbayev headed the Emergency Situations Department of the Aktobe Region. Since 2023, he served as deputy chairman of the Fire Service Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In September 2024, he was appointed head of the Emergency Situations Department of the Karaganda Region. Now Amanbayev will head the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Other personnel changes

Earlier, Kursiv reported that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made new personnel changes at the Ministry of Defense and then replaced the leadership of Kazakhstan's Special Operations Forces.
