A shooting occurred in the village of Akshukur, Mangystau Region, resulting in two casualties. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the publication, the incident took place on the morning of July 9 near a car wash complex. Following the incident, messages about the shooting and photos of the alleged victims began circulating on social media and the WhatsApp messenger.
The press service of the Mangystau Regional Hospital confirmed the hospitalization of two men.
"A patient born in 2001 was admitted to the Department of Surgery No. 1 with a diagnosis of multiple gunshot pellet wounds to the face, neck, and both upper extremities; a penetrating gunshot pellet wound to the right side of the chest, traumatic hemothorax on the right. A patient born in 1999 is undergoing treatment in the Department of Surgery No. 2 with a diagnosis of a gunshot pellet wound to the middle third of the right shin, multiple fractures of the facial bones," the hospital reported.
The medical institution added that both patients are under constant medical supervision and are receiving all necessary medical care.
The circumstances of the incident are being established.
