In the village of Beineu in the Mangystau region, a 31-year-old man deprived of the right to drive for seven years tried to flee from police. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The incident occurred on 7 October during a patrol of the village. Officers stopped a VAZ-2107 car and, during the check, established that the driver had got behind the wheel again despite being deprived of driving rights by a court decision.

A published video shows the driver attempting to escape from the police, as well as the moment of his subsequent detention. However, the details of what happened before the car was stopped have not been specified.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the incident under Part 1 of Article 346 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The issue of choosing a measure of restraint against him is currently being considered.
