Analysis shows that the majority of tragic incidents during the swimming season occur in areas that are not specially equipped and where swimming is prohibited.
This year, a robot dog is patrolling the coastal area together with police officers. Using cameras and a loudspeaker system, it identifies citizens in prohibited swimming areas and reminds them to follow safety requirements.
For violating water safety rules, 90 citizens have been brought to administrative responsibility. Police urge citizens to relax only on specially permitted beaches, not to swim beyond the established safety boundaries, not to swim while intoxicated, and to constantly supervise children.
