In the Mangystau region, three residents of the village of Kyzylozen were awarded for rescuing two teenagers carried away by wind at sea. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional akimat, the rescuers were presented with a certificate of honor from the head of the regional police department and gratitude from the district akim.
As reported by the akimat of the Tupkaragan district, the incident occurred on the morning of August 27. Two teenagers who went to sea on paddleboards were carried away by strong wind. Upon hearing about the situation, villagers immediately began search operations.
As a result, the teenagers were found approximately 3 kilometers from the village of Kyzylozen towards Fort-Shevchenko and 1.5-2 kilometers from the shore, and were safely brought back to land.
