In the Mangystau region, 82 former prisoners received financial assistance totaling 10.2 million tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Kazakhstan has a program for social adaptation and return of ex-convicts to normal life. The main goal is to help people settle down in freedom, find legal earnings and forget about their criminal past.
The probation service and the akimat checked the addresses of 859 Kazakhstani citizens on the register. All citizens were given explanatory conversations about preventing re-offenses. 106 registered persons were employed.
For the adaptation of former prisoners, the state allocated a total of 17 million tenge. 82 citizens have already received one-time financial assistance totaling 10.2 million tenge.
In addition, in the Munaily district, a way was found to train former convicts in new professions. The local training center "ARS" and LLP "NeftePromStroyService" signed a memorandum of cooperation. Thanks to this, 13 Kazakhstani citizens registered with the probation service have already been sent for free training.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that Kazakhstan plans to build more prisons.
