Three citizens who went missing after a trip to the underground Beket-Ata mosque have been found in the Mangystau region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Polisia.kz.
The vehicle carrying the missing individuals was discovered in a hard-to-reach area approximately 35 km from the Kydyrsha ata locality. According to preliminary data, the car got stuck in a swampy area, preventing the people from continuing on their own and making contact.
The missing individuals were first found by officers of the Beineu District Police Department — local police inspector Nurzhigit Bazarbayev and senior inspector of the administrative police department of the Beineu District Police Department Bauyrzhan Nurmukhanbetov.
The found citizens are now being taken to the village of Akzhigit, where they will undergo a medical examination to assess their health condition.
The Mangystau Regional Police Department thanked all services involved in the search operation. According to police, the search involved police officers, emergency services units, inspectors of the Okhotzooprom, aviation, and volunteers.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that three Kazakhstanis who had gone to the Beket-Ata mosque in a Great Wall SUV and lost contact were being searched for in the Mangystau region. The missing included 34-year-old Kanatbek Zhubatkanov, 31-year-old Akmaral Bissenova, and 20-year-old Markhabat Bissenova. They last made contact on the afternoon of July 2, sending a video from the holy site.
